MECHANICS OF MATERIALS
DROPPING KNOWLEDGE ON RIGID BODIES
Statics is an area of engineering mechanics that studies the effects and distribution of forces on objects which are at and remain at rest. These forces are assumed and assessed as if no deformation of the object occurs, or in other words, the body is rigid.
Statics is one of those make or break subjects, coming in to play in some capacity for every single engineering discipline that is out there.
It is the foundation of so many other subjects that if you don't have it down pat, there will be a domino affect that can lead to a "not too stoked" feeling as you walk out of that testing center after your exam.
Let's not be "not too stoked"...let's get to work.
