DROPPING IN ON THE GNARLIEST WAVE EVER
Fluid Mechanics is a branch of APPLIED SCIENCE, or continuous mechanics, which deals with a relationship between forces, motions, and static conditions of a continuous material, or otherwise, a fluid.
Fluid Mechanics is broken in to two additional branches, Hydrostatics and Hydrodynamics.
Hydrostatics, which you may also hear referred to as Fluid Statics, deals with fluids that are at and remain at rest, they are Static.
Hydrodynamics, or Fluid Dynamics, deals with and is concerned with fluids that are moving.
In either instance, the focus of Fluid Mechanics is to assess a fluids response to the forces that are exerted on to them.
It is fundamental in most all engineering disciplines, and if you don't have it down pat, there will be a domino affect that can utterly decimate that "perfect wave".
Let's not let that "perfect wave"...let's get to work.
